How it is made
The wine undergoes typical white wine vinification followed by a natural fermentation in pressurized tanks, which gives the wine its lively effervescence. Verduzzo wine is brilliant pale straw in color, with greenish tinges, and fine and fragrant on the nose, with hints of white flowers and yellow fruit. It displays a characteristic tanginess on the palate.
Verduzzo is a native variety that is typical of the area of the Piave near Treviso: there is a strong link with its terroir in this wine. The soils created by the centuries-old flow of the river have taken on characteristics of low fertility and drain very quickly, creating a situation of drought from time to time. This results in an enhancement of the precious organoleptic properties of this grape variety. Cantine Maschio uses fruit from vineyards cultivated in this area, highlighting the principal varietal characteristics of Verduzzo with appropriate use of technology.
